New York, NY —New York highway accident officials continue to investigate a multi-vehicle collision on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) mid-morning on Thursday. The motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a school bus, casino bus, and a tractor-trailer truck on the Brooklyn portion of the BQE left 59 people including the drivers and passengers injured reported Newsday.
New York Fire Department (FDNY) crews and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel responded to the three-vehicle wreck near Bedford Avenue in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Fire-rescue crews treated the majority of the injured at the highway accident scene. Two victims were transported by ambulance to Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in North Brooklyn for treatment of their injuries. Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Bushwick received two other injured victims, and Jewish volunteers operating a Hatzolah ambulance transported the remaining two victims to a New York area hospital.
