Dutch investigators have prelim Turkish plane crash findings


Dutch leaders will release preliminary Turkish Airlines plane crash results.

New York, NY --As reported by the Associated Press (AP) early Wednesday, Dutch Safety Authority investigators will hold a nationally televised news conference today. The Turkish Airlines crash investigators will report preliminary findings in The Hague regarding the aviation accident involving a Boeing 737-800 on February 25, 2009.

The Turkish Airlines commercial passenger jet crashed in a muddy field just short of the runway at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport killing 9 people including 4 Americans and 5 Turkish citizens. Dozens of passengers were injured and many remain in area hospitals receiving medical treatment for their pain and injuries. A Dutch Safety Authority spokesperson alluded to engine failure, turbulence, loss of fuel, pilot error, turbulence and bird strikes as possible causes the plane crash investigators have reviewed.
